Spooktacular Halloween Hairstyles for Textured Hair

Posted by Khallisa Budhwani on

It’s almost that time of year again—when the witches and the goblins….and the most outrageous hairstyles take center stage. Needless to say, we LOVE Halloween! It’s so much fun to dress up in fantastical costumes, go all-out with makeup, and do things with our hair we wouldn’t normally do. And textured hair is amazing for creating some standout looks. Need some inspiration? Here’s a list of our favorite Halloween hairstyles for all you curly girls.

A Little Hocus Pocus

Undoubtedly one of the most famous Halloween flicks of all time, this Hocus Pocus look is as iconic as it gets. Channel your best Winifred with a high updo parted down the middle. Don’t have red hair? Some hair makeup will do the trick!

Mane Attraction

Keep it simple with this high-impact, low-effort look. Go for big, beautiful lioness hair, add a headband and some face paint, and you’ll be looking fierce.

Whether you’re a fan of Rainbow Brite or just love those unicorn vibes, you can’t go wrong with this magical style. Adorn your hair with a whole spectrum of colorful temporary hair paints and pull it hair up into a messy mohawk.

Mysterious Medusa

If you want to go dark this year, Medusa is the perfect option for curly hair. Just add some small rubber snakes (we suggest spray painting them silver or gold) around the crown or your head for the full effect.

Snip Snip

Edward Scissorhands needs little introduction, and we love a good throwback costume. This style works best by starting with dirty hair (the oil makes it look just right) and teasing it out and up.

“Ugh, as if!”

Clueless still remains one of our all-time favorite movies—and Dionne Davenport’s style is always “in”. This is great for those with braids (or needing an excuse to get them). Just add an over-the-top hat and you’ve got the look.
