How is the Kiseki Masque different from other molecular repair masks?
Selected from a pool of nearly 1000 plant peptides, our molecular repair peptides are up to 8 times smaller, so they actually penetrate your hair’s cortex and medulla for deep bond repair. Other similar molecular repair products tend to use polypeptides, which are much larger and cannot penetrate as deeply. The Kiseki Masque ingredients are well-balanced for multiple layers of reparative and protective mechanisms to target damage at every level of the strand. Our unique delivery technology is also key: the base formula was developed to permeate low molecular weight peptides and deliver them effectively deep within the hair, for up to 50% improved absorption.
Why is the molecular weight of a peptide important?
The molecular weight is a way to measure the size of a peptide, so the lower the molecular weight, the smaller it is. Peptides with a lower molecular weight are able to reach deeper layers of the hair’s structure all the way to the core instead of only patching up the surface. Damage at the core can result in damage at the middle and surface layers of hair, so strands aren’t truly repaired unless they’re repaired at the core. The peptide sizes in our formula range from 250-500Da. For reference, other leading peptides in the industry are around 1500-2000Da, and keratin fibers in the cortex range from 80K-100KDa.
What do you mean by ‘delivery technology’ in the formulation?
If you were to dissolve some of the ingredients in the Kiseki Masque, like milk thistle seed extract, in water to create a product, the output would not repair hair damage. Our delivery technology was developed to create a formula base that effectively permeates our active ingredients and delivers them within the hair’s cortex. By increasing the absorption of peptides and nutrients in the deeper layers of strands, we can maximize the experienced benefits of these ingredients.
Do I wash the Kiseki Masque out of my hair?
No—after shampooing and towel-drying your hair, apply the Kiseki Masque. Do not rinse.
What will the Kiseki Masque do for my hair?
Restore strength, softness, smoothness, and bounce. See your first results after 4 minutes.
How long should the Kiseki Masque sit in my hair?
Let the treatment soak in for at least 4 minutes before continuing your hair routine. For even more dramatic repair within one session, allow for 10-15 minutes of treatment.
Can I use conditioner or other products with the Kiseki Masque?
Do not use conditioner before applying the Kiseki Masque. It should be applied to freshly washed, towel-dried hair. (The peptides in the formula will be able to penetrate deeper into the core when there are no layers of other product in the way.) After Kiseki’s 4-minute activation period, feel free to use a leave-in conditioner or any other products you’d like.
Is this product pregnancy/postpartum safe?
